Description
The Circuit Court of Maury County entered judgment upon a jury verdict convicting Charles R. Mencer, the defendant, of conspiracy to possess a Schedule VI controlled substance (marijuana) with intent to sell or deliver. For this offense the trial court imposed a five-year sentence to be served in the Department of Correction. In addition, the jury found Mencer guilty of keeping a room or table for gaming, for which the trial court fixed a sentence of three years and approved a jury-imposed fine of $500. These sentences are consecutive.
